Women's Night Safety Charter
on behalf of MAYOR OF LONDON
In February 2025, we were invited to be part of the Women’s Night Safety Summit in Shoreditch, organised by Safer Business Network.
London is a safe city, but too many women feel unsafe when travelling, working or socialising both during the day and at night. Londoners have asked the Night Czar to prioritise women’s safety, and that is why the Mayor has created this charter; to make London a city where all women feel confident and welcome at night.
The Women’s Night Safety Charter is part of the Mayor’s Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and London’s commitment to the UN Women Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces global initiative. In 2022, Safer Business Network was asked to deliver its recommendations. This includes sharing of best practice, free training and networking events.

We were very grateful for the opportunity to present Sheroes Collective, to showcase the powerful artworks of our brilliant artists, and discuss future collaborations with new partners. We left the day feeling energised after meeting so many brilliant people with equally brilliant initiatives. There is definitely room for joy and creativity in the fight against VAWG, and the Summit was a true testament to this!
