SHEROES COLLECTIVE presents its first public library exhibition at Deptford Lounge, in partnership with Lewisham Council, to commemorate 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
This month-long exhibition will showcase the work of 16 women activist artists, transforming the library’s windows and public-facing spaces into sites of visibility, reflection, and dialogue.
Through installations, window interventions, and public programming, the project brings hidden and normalised forms of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) into public view, while amplifying stories of resilience, survival, and empowerment through collective care and action.
HELP MAKE IT HAPPEN
We are bringing this project to life with your support as we did not receive public funding. The Sheroes team and every artist in the show are dedicated to making this project happen, and your donations will help this and future exhibitions. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Join the fight and be part of our mission to end violence against women and girls.
